Duality of Stone II vessel
Description
Duality of Stone explores the quiet tension between contrast and cohesion. The sculptural silhouettes and layered clay bodies are inspired by the marbling found in natural coastal rock formations, shaped over time by wind, water, and sediment.
This hand coiled vessel was created as part of a set for 1000 Vases - an exhibition during Paris Design week 2025. Formed using a blend of clays to mimic strata, the soft curves and surface ripples evoke the stillness of tidal pools and the grounding weight of stone. One light, one dark, they are companions in form and opposites in tone, each celebrating balance, materiality, and the raw beauty of nature.
