The Golden Faultline Wall Sculpture

Description

A ceramic wall sculpture created with a textured white clay body and glazed with a glossy warm white speckle. When crafted with wet clay, this piece was almost 70cm and due to the sheer size of the piece, the clay became stressed and cracked on the back, showing through slightly on the front. The crack has been filled and gold leaf applied to the crack, creating a scar. The scar tells the story of pressure and tension, yet is still beautiful.
